Supporting Government policy moves towards sustainable agriculture and the pivotal role of the private sector in achieving this vision, a virtual Business Forum was recently organized on ‘Sourcing agricultural inputs from Germany to support Sri Lanka’s path towards sustainable and organic agriculture.
Initiated by the Embassy of the Sri Lanka in Germany and the Ceylon Chamber and organized in collaboration with the Sri Lanka-Germany Business Council (SLGBC) and the German Agribusiness Alliance (GAA), the Forum provided a valuable opportunity to gain deeper insights on the Government’s vision and efforts towards sustainable agriculture as well as opportunities available in Germany for private sector collaboration in this regard.
The B2B meetings that followed the Forum enabled Sri Lankan businesses in the agricultural sector to connect with and explore potential opportunities for business with German manufacturers of organic agricultural inputs.
