The Sri Lanka – Germany Business Council organized an Awareness Session on “German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act” on 01st March 2023. The act came into effect on the 1st of January 2023 and is said to progressively affect all direct and indirect exporters to Germany and potentially the EU in the next few years. The session was conducted by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka). Interested participants were given more information on the training session to be conducted by AHK Sri Lanka to ensure that Sri Lankan exporters to Germany meet the guidelines and stay competitive.
